Instructions:
You will need to have a detailed plan for your
researched argument (3-4 pages)
essay. Within this outline, you need to provide your introduction and thesis and a summary of what you envision each point you will make. In one document, complete these two parts of the assignment:
Part A - Create what will become the opening of your paper:
1. Begin with your name, the name of the course, the name of the instructor, and the due date in the upper left-hand corner of your paper.
2. Center a title before your first paragraph.
· Short titles for research papers are usually a bad sign that you don't have a defined and focused topic.
· Be specific in your title and use enough detail so that the title tells the reader what the research paper is about.
· Make it a title about the thesis.
3. Write an introduction paragraph with an underlined thesis.
Part B - Create an outline:
1. Outline the main points of the rest of your paper after the introduction.
2. Each of these must be a complete sentence, not just a phrase.
3. You should have at least four (4) main points for your final essay
· These main points will become your topic sentences in your research paper.
· The main points you write should be clear sentences that elaborate on your thesis and reconnect to your thesis statement directly.
· Provide a bulleted list of specific evidence under each of your points.
Writing and Submission Instructions:
1. Save your documents with your “Last Name Assignment Title” (EX: Smith Outline).
2. Assignments

Argument Essay
"Are Genetically Modified Plants (GMOs) Beneficial in Agriculture?" is the research question selected for the argument essay. "What are the mechanisms underlying GMOs' resistance to pests and how does this positively impact agricultural practice?" is the proposed study question.
The topic "Are Genetically Modified Plants (GMOs) Beneficial in Agriculture?" was selected since GMOs are highly significant on a worldwide scale. They are closely related to the global food production systems and are a crucial part of modern agriculture (Yali, 2022). Because it directly affects sustainability, the environment, and global food security, the topic is relevant and significant. Additionally, GMOs are an extremely intriguing scientific and technological subject. Analyzing their uses in agriculture thus explores the intriguing fields of biotechnology and genetics and their implications for farming in the future.
The interest in learning more about environmental sustainability makes the topic significant. It is beneficial for an interested person who is dedicated to detecting and resolving environmental challenges to carry out research on the topic, especially since the effects of GMOs on ecosystems, soil health, and biodiversity have generated discussions. GMOs also raise the nutritional content of crops. This is a strong argument for investigating this matter to find out how GM crops help lessen dietary deficits and malnutrition.
Lastly, the topic was selected due to the ethical concerns created by genetically modified organisms and their economic implications. GMOs are believed to have serious detrimental effects on farmers' livelihoods and way of life. Thus, the interest in learning what benefits farmers derive from the same.

The research topic I chose was, "Can Cellphones Be Educational Tools?". This topic stood out to me because cellphones and humans are becoming more inseparable starting at a very young age. Cell phones offer a variety of things and anyone can have access to finding out information they are willing to learn. This topic is good because I use my phone to access information like news, recipes, and basically anything that randomly comes to my mind. Cellphones are predominately intended for reaching out to someone for a phonecall that can be informative to you as well. You can use your phone to calculate a quick problem or even add up groceries at the store as your are shopping. I think this was a great topic to choose because cellphones are apart of everyday life and majority of us can't go without them.

Hello Carla, thanks for sharing your post with the class. In my view, mobile phones are able to serve as instructional instruments that are pretty beneficial. They are the only support system that we can count on to be reliable. At the time, I employ it for each and every one of my needs.

Do you think eating lab-grown meat is a good idea? I chose this because, to be honest, I do not even know what I will buy if I go to Walmart anymore. I am about to find a meat market here in Fort Wayne because they use cancer cells to make them grow faster. I am not sure if that is a fact yet. Why do things like this get passed without the public consuming the product is not even aware. I have also heard that a good amount of estrogen in lab-grown meats. It will be fun to get the facts and argue this out!

Very interesting topic you have chosen. I have recently become interested in this and am questioning what is in the products I consume. I feel marking plays a significant role in this topic and how much "junk" gets passed on, but that is just an opinion. I think the dollar's value is also a factor for the consumer and provider. The amount of information will likely lead you down whatever path you choose. I would be interested in how this has become such an issue and why we are not hearing more about it.

Hi Aaron, thanks for posting. Despite the fact that I don't know anything about it, the topic sounds incredibly fascinating. There are definitely more electric vehicles on the roads now. Although I have never taken one, I am aware that they are incredibly silent. It seems like charging them would be a hassle. Have success writing your persuasive essay.

My research question is How should schools address bullying. When it comes to the Anti-bullying bill of rights, schools report and investigate bullying accusations. What makes this a good topic to disgust is with kids starting to head back to school and kids should not fear going to school worried about a bully. When the school supplies the steps to allow kids to be able to have someone to talk to stop the bully from bullying another kid it makes a significant difference. While some schools have implemented a bystander rule that says if they see something to get involved and stop it because watching it makes it no better than the bully doing it. The reason I chose this topic is that a lot of kids get bullied not only in school but online as well and being able to protect them can have an impact of even saving their lives considering that some kids become suicidal thanks to bullying. However, having this system in there will be a debate on if the person is being bullied or if there is just tattling and how to be able to disguise the difference for younger kids. If schools can address, it in a way that all kids of all ages can understand to help lower the impact of bullying.
