My research concentrates on understanding quantitative methods used to evaluate healthcare policies, together with their interventions and assessment of their outcomes. Quantitative methods play an essential role in determining the effectiveness of public health programs and healthcare systems in terms of both disparity reduction and improved outcomes and equitable care delivery. Through data-driven approaches in public health research, I aim to help create evidence-based policies and interventions by focusing on quantitative research methods. Public health and healthcare gain their essential value from their ability to establish lasting, meaningful transformations in our society. Health is the foundation of life quality for each person, yet addressing social, environmental, and behavioral health factors produces healthcare systems that serve everyone better. Quantitative research methods enable the assessment of public health campaign results, the discovery of health inequalities, and the projection of treatment intervention outcomes. The use of numerical information with statistical data enables professionals to uncover patterns that help them make important population-wide policy decisions. My dedication to public health and healthcare develops from attending academic programs together with individual life experiences. During my youth, I saw firsthand how health disparities damaged both single people and social communities who belonged to underrepresented groups. Witnessing the situation motivated me to understand how public health systems create interventions and policies to address disparities. My undergraduate research experience examining the success of the rural vaccination program created a solid commitment to resolving public health issues by analyzing data. Statistical analysis within the study enabled healthcare providers to learn effective strategies for delivering better medical services by improving access to underserved populations. The work by Pajo (2023) in Introduction to Research Methods: A Hands-On Approach serves as a vital academic source that presents quantitative approaches used in public health research. According to the textbook, research design, together with data collection approaches and statistical tools, allows decisions to be made through factual evidence pertaining to public health initiatives. The book shows readers, through examples from the quantitative method, how to apply research to study disease occurrence rates and assess health measures and treatment effectiveness. The evaluation of extensive healthcare operations, including vaccination programs and smoking reduction initiatives, heavily depends on the research methods described above. Pajo dedicates the complete text to explaining why robust data collection methods maintain research validity and reliability in public health research. In conclusion, my chosen research area, public health and healthcare, aligns with both my academic and career aspirations. The healthcare system, along with public health results, benefits from my quantitative research approach, which develops evidence-based decisions. Statistical methods enable researchers to create enhanced health policies that generate better healthcare interventions, leading to superior population health results. I encourage my classmates to share their own experiences and interests in public health since a broader understanding of public health research benefits our group when students share their research topics.
