Local Resource Directory Parents need resources, particularly in their local community. Many parents are unaware of the numerous resources available and have no idea how to find them and where they are located. As a new professional, you will need to provide resources to parents. For this assignment, students will create a resource document for parents that provide parenting services across the life-span in the following areas. A reminder that these programs must be geared toward parents. You must pick one topic from each column, for a total of THREE community resources: Community Resource Topics Contemporary Families  Parenting approaches Divorce Diverse families (i.e., LGBTQ+, single-parent, military, immigrant, etc…) Infants Toddlers Preschoolers School-age Adolescents Aging Parents & Adult Children But wait! This is not the entire assignment, but rather an example to get you started.  The resource MUST contain the following:    Introduction with region you are exploring (the closer to home, the better!) Name of program Contact information for program, including website A minimum of one paragraph (7 sentences minimum) narrative explaining the available services. A minimum of one paragraph (7 sentences minimum) narrative on how the program’s services relate to APA-cited course concepts. This is the time to make explicit connections between your programs and course content.  APA-formatted citations and a reference list.  Be creative! You can design a brochure, a PowerPoint, a video, a podcast, etc… Give your resource a name (i.e., Deschutes County Family Resource Directory), some photos and visuals, along with the required information.
